.MSO

What is this and why cant i open it? Help

A.

im guessing the .mso file is in an email (often as oledata.mso) . Generally it contains no useful data, just some configuration settings from the originating program (which has probably generated an email as an HTML email) but should not be deleted as this may corrupt the email. Only Microsoft Outlook really understands what there files are for so i’m guessing you dont use outlook.

For example if someone was to mail you directly from Microsoft word, you would receive the content as an HTML file and the oledata.mso file would contain the necessary settings to automatically reconstruct the HTML email back into word format when you open it.

So I guess the answer is your can’t and probably don’t need to anyway.
